Did you register for this seminar? Before attending with your dog you must
CHARGE YOUR CLICKER!
1. Develop your mechanical skills & timing. Do not get the dog yet. Have someone in your house jump or bounce a ball. Click the instant they make contact with the floor and then immediately deliver the treat. Timing is everything!
The Jessie James Drill:
Click,
Draw (grab the treat),
Deliver the treat, in that order.
2. Charge the Clicker. We need the dog to know that the click means something in order to train him with it. Click means that a reward is coming.
Go get your dog and 25 small treats (your dog's kibble works great for this! Practie during feeding time with it.)
Click and give your dog a treat (Jessie James Drill). Ask nothing of the dog.
3. Practice charging your clicker a couple times a day for a few days before attending the seminar. If your dog is afraid of the noise put the clicker in your pocket to muffle the sound.
